E. Scott Urdang

Scott Urdang was the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Urdang Capital Management, Inc. and its REIT-securities business, Urdang Securities Management, Inc. (“Urdang”), as well as its operating successor for approximately 25 years until negotiating the sale of Urdang and its affiliated holdings to the Bank of New York and ultimately its corporate successor, BNY Mellon Corporation (“BNY Mellon”).  Thereafter, he served as the Chairman of CenterSquare Investment Management, Inc., and CenterSquare Investment Management Holdings, Inc. (“CenterSquare”), and later spent a substantial number of years representing BNY Mellon globally in the expansion of its alternative investment platform.  

 

Since retiring from the BNY Mellon platform, Scott has become an individual investor and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of REIT public company, Gaming & Leisure Properties, Inc., and GLP Capital LP.   Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Laventhol & Horwath prior to his Chairman & CEO responsibilities of the aforementioned Urdang and CenterSquare entities. Scott received both his Doctorate and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania where he later taught at the Wharton School of Business; earlier, he earned an undergraduate degree from Tufts University. Under Scott’s leadership, the Urdang team and their institutional separate account pension fund clients partnered with the Sponsor, David Vandenburg, the Managing Partner and his team in multiple investment partnerships in the value-add multifamily property sector, to acquire, renovate, manage and ultimately sell approximately 16,262 multifamily units over an approximate 12 year investment period numbering approximately 55 property investments comprising numerous partnerships.
